According to the newly-released 2013 Airline Quality Ratings, an annual study of airline performance, Virgin America Airlines is the highest-quality major airline in the United States. This is based on their on-time performance, customer complaints, mishandled baggage, and denied boardings.
Last on the list and the lowest-rated is United Airlines.
The private airlines, founded by billionaire entrepreneur Richard Branson, have only been in US operation since 2007 but have already led the way in airline service. In just five years, the airlines managed to lead the way in timely travels, baggage handling, and customer service. This is also the first time that it is part of the AQR ratings.
