Prime Minister Najib Razak said that Malaysia will not give up on the search for missing flight MH370, as he visited the search base in Australia.
Mourning the missing passengers
Despite widening the search, search and rescue teams still have not found even a single piece of debris.
Razak met the teams at the Pearce RAAF search hub near Perth, and then later held discussion with Australian leader Tony Abbott.
“The disappearance of MH370 has tested our collective resolve,” said Razak at a news conference in Perth.
“I know that until we find the plane, many families cannot start to grieve. I cannot imagine what they must be going through. But I can promise them that we will not give up,” he added.
Day of searching
Razak praised the search effort, saying that the cooperation had “given us all heart.”
The focus of the search is a 221,000 sq km area west of Perth.
If the weather is nice, search planes continue to take off from Perth every day.
